With the "Convert Area Loads on Openings to Line Loads" function, you can automatically take into account, for example, wind loads applied on windows or other loads applied on non‑bearing structures not represented in the model in openings. You can access this function via "Tools" → "Generate Loads" → "From Area Loads on Openings...."
The input windows in RF-/STEEL EC3 distinguish between the flexural and lateral-torsional buckling analyses. In the following text, an example will show the parameters for lateral-torsional buckling.
With RFEM 5.6.1103 and RSTAB 8.6.1103, there is an improved result output for the nonlinear calculation of reinforced concrete design in RF‑CONCRETE Members and CONCRETE. The new result windows include tables with a wide range of loading results; for example, governing load with the maximum ratio. In addition, you can now display the envelope results for the maximum ratio graphically.
With program version x.06, you can also insert .bmp file formats from the clipboard into the printout report. Previously, only the .emf format (Windows Metafile) was supported. Thus, it is no longer necessary to insert a screenshot in a supported program (such as MS Paint) and go from there to the printout report.
Click the [Details] button in RF-GLASS to select the results to be displayed. In order to get a better overview for the result evaluation, you can select the individual stress graphics (principal stresses, stresses oriented to axes, shear stresses) as well as various result windows. This way, you can show only the results you require.
The transparency of the glass material should not be missing in any building. In addition to the typical application areas such as windows, this building material is increasingly being used for facades, canopies, or even as bracing of stairways. Of course, the planning architects often set a very high standard of transparency on fixation of the glass panes. This requires special glass fittings that couple the glass panes.
In order to show various results (deformations, internal forces) in multiple windows quickly, you can use the "Arrange Result Windows" function ("Results" menu). A dialog box appears where you can select the relevant results to be displayed.
If a model should contain members with elastic foundations, the contact forces and moments are displayed in numerical form in the result windows. The graphical display of results is specified by the "Members" entry in the Results Navigator.
